We've tried it out and there a vision in our head that we wanted to accomplish but the closes one we could do was among these 4. We chose the last one:
After that the Mind Map. We decided on Pin up Girls and Victorian style at first but did not seem to fit the theme that we were aiming for so we decided to stick with the second choice;Pin up Girls and theather, which we found was closer to retro style other than the usual big Afro hair and Saturday night fever.
Our main theme is Retro but to make something out of the theme. We were to discover creativity out of the box. It was fun making this mind maps.
First Second:
Sue Ann: Summer: Sorry. I know it is not very clear but it is the biggest I could put up but from a clear point. You could see what we have already come up and have decided on.
Then we chose a main idea from the mind map to create the retro wallpaper. So we chose to use a fashion illustration design with other background and objects that describes retro.
So we did more research on fashion illustration on the 60's to the 80's.
Fashion Illustration is the communication of fashion designs through drawing. The main focus is the fashion figure or croquis used for draping the clothing onto.
After doing the mind map, we started to do some researches on retro designs. We look for pictures and photos that has something to do with retro to gives us more ideas for our wallpaper design.
Retro is a term used to describe, denote or classify culturally outdated or aged trends, modes, or fashions, from the overall postmodern past, but have since that time become functionally or superficially the norm once again. The use of "retro" style iconography and imagery interjected into American postmodern art, advertising, mass media, etc. has occurred from around the time of the U.S. industrial revolution to present day.
So we were ask to create a retro wallpaper. So the first thing we did is the mind map.
